EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On 29
th
March, 2010, the Central Committee of the National League for Democracy decided notto re-register under the unjust electoral laws and political party registration laws. And Daw AungSan Suu Kyi said in her messages presented in the Central Committee meeting that the NationalLeague for Democracy is not dissolved even though it is forced to be abolished.Just after the release of electoral laws, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said through her lawyer that"These laws are challenges not only for the NLD but also for Burmese people. We need to facethese challenges in a united manner. People need moral strength."NLD's positions described in the Shwegondaing Declaration include:(a)
 
Unconditional Release of All the Political Prisoners including U Tin Oo and Daw AungSan Su Kyi(b)
 
Review of the Draft Constitution (2008)(c)
 
Recognition of the result of the Multi Party Democracy General Election (1990)(d)
 
Unconditional dialogue participated by the decision makers should be commencedimmediately based on the principles of mutual respects and national reconciliation.(e)
 
All inclusive free and fair general elections held under the international supervision.Now the NLD is no longer legally registered political party. But the NLD still exist andcontinues its political and social activities. This report highlights some significant activities of the National League for Democracy after it has refused to re-register under the unjust PoliticalParty Registration Law.In this report, political ceremonies that NLD held, its political works, organizational trips of NLD leaders to grassroots members, social assistance, assistance to political prisoners and theirfamilies, diplomatic works and other activities that clearly shows that NLD is existing andworking.
