Organizational Trip to Sagaing and Kachin
U Han Thar Myint, a Central Executive member together with Monywar Aung Shin, Vice Chairof Sagaing Organizing committee met with NLD members in Myitkyenar, Kachin State as a partof organizational trip to Sagaing Division, Kachin State and Chin State. They came toMyitkyenar from Shwebo Township after meeting with NLD members and NLD youth membersfrom township level and ward/village level.2 July

U Han Thar Myint and team met with members from Monyin, Kachin State and some townshipsaround at the house of U Pe Sein, executive member of NLD Kachin State. The team explainedNLD’s positions regarding current situation and elections and listened to their difficulties andsignificant issues. The team then went to Mandalay, Monywar, Chaung-U, Ayadaw, Butalintownships in Sagaing Division. They planned to continue to Chin State.
 Daw Suu bestowed honorary individual membership of CALD
The Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD) bestowed Daw Aung San Suu Kyi anhonorary individual membership title in its Executive Committee meeting held on June 27 toJuly 1 in Makati City, Philippines.
  Home visit to Political Prisoners
As a part of visit to families of political prisoners program, a team led by U Tin Oo, Vice Chairand U Win Tin, Central Executive member including women wing leader Daw May Win Myintand youth members visited families of Zarganzar, a well-known comedian and Ko Pyone Cho,88 generation student leader. NLD team met with Nannyuntswe, who recently passed away andDaw Tin Tin Win, mother of Ko Ant Bwe Kyaw, 88 generation student leader at Zarganzar’shouse.At Ko Pyone Cho’s house, the NLD team also met with family members of Ma Mee Mee andMa Hanni Oo who are also 88 generation student leaders. The team encouraged family membersand enquired about situation of prisons and political prisoners.
Political prisoner of NLD in bad health
Ma Sandar in Insein Prison was suffering from heart disease due to malnutrition and indigestion.She also has liver problem and rheumatism. The family could not have prescription from aprison physician so the family could not supply any medicine for her.5 July 
 Assistance to Political Prisoners
 NLD also supported 607 political prisoners who are most in need of assistance with 5000 kyat(about 5 US dollar) costing NLD 2.55 million kyats (about 2500 US Dollar) as a monthlypolitical prisoner assistance program. The rest of the money donated was distributed to 300

political prisoners through township level organizational committee in Rangoon Division. Theprogram to assist families of political prisoners in need started since 1996.6 July
 Home visit to Political Prisoners
A team led by U Tin Oo, Vice Chair and U Win Tin, Central Executive member includingwomen wing leader Daw May Win Myint and youth members visited Ko Min Zeya’s house andmet with his family members together with family members of Ko Thet Zaw and Ko Thaw ZinOo, 88 generation student leaders. They also went to Ma Lay Lay Mon’ house and met familymembers with Ko Nyan Linn’s family members.12 July 
 Meeting with diplomat from British embassy
Mr. Ruth Bradley Jones, first secretary from British embassy in Rangoon came to the U Tin Oo’sresidence and met with him. During the meeting, they discussed about the positions and activitiesof NLD and current situation.13 July 
Complaint against restriction on Daw Suu
 U Kyi win and U Nyan Win, lawyers of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as well as central executivecommittee member of NLD was allowed to meet her at her residence. Daw Suu ordered herlawyer to draft a letter to file a complaint against restriction on her discussion with lawyer.Police’s Special Branch instructed U Nyan Win not to talk with her about things that are notrelated to legal cases with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and now the lawyers need to have aconcession letter from Daw Suu together with permission letter from local special branch.
Political prisoners’ assistance program
 As a political prisoners’ assistance program, NLD team led by U Tin Oo and U Win Tin visitedfamily of Ko Pandate Tun, a member of 88 generation student group. At Ko Pandate Tun’shouse, the NLD team also met with family members of Kyi Tha Tun, Aye Thida, Tun TunNaing, Maung Maung Myint, U Thein Lwin Oo and U Ye Myint in North Okkalapa Township.The team also visited family of Dr. Ne Win and met with family members of Dr. Ne Win, PhyoPhyo Aung, Zaw Zaw Aung, Di Nyein Lynn, Ye Myat Hein and Tun Tun Naing. Theyexchanged experience and encouraged one another.15 July 
 An NLD member’s prison sentence extended 
 Ko Than Myint Aung from Thuwunna NLD was extended his sentence at the Western DistrictCourt under section 33 (a) of the Electronic Act. He has already been sentenced 5 years underImmigration Act. He is a member of National League for Democracy (Liberated Area) Malaysiabranch and went back to Burma from Malaysia.
