Arts from the Caribbean, SouthAmerica, and Southern United Stated all share a common theme -- i.e., survival and resistance. This renaissance willallow us to tell about the Buffalo Soldiers, and the Maroons of Jamaica and Haiti; the slave revolts of Brazil andColumbia.
