MA English with Communication StudiesPaper Presentation and Publication
It is proposed that in order to inculcate research culture among the students, they beencouraged to present and publish research papers.
Paper Presentation:
•
Students can present maximum of one paper per semester which will be giventwo credits.
•
The seminar/conference/congress should be one that is organised by arecognised university, reputed college, an established or a reputed researchcentre. The assembly should be national or international in nature.
•
In order to get the grades the student should submit the presented research paper in a standard research paper format along with the certificate from theassembly organisers and conference information brochure and/or websitedetails.
•
The validity of the seminar/conference/congress and the papers is to be done by the HOD or the departmental committee set up by the HOD.
•
Paper presentation in workshops of seminar nature may also be recognised.
•
In order to avoid technical problems only single author papers are to berecognised.
•
The credits are to be given for the respective semesters in which the paper was presented.
•
The student is eligible for attendance for the conference days and theminimum number of days required for travelling to attend the assembly.
•
Students need to intimate and take prior permission from the HOD or programme co-ordinator regarding the presentation.
•
The records should be submitted to HOD/programme co-ordinator within aweek after the presentation.
Paper Publication:
•
Students can publish maximum of two papers per year which are to be givenfour credits each.
•
The publications should be in refereed research journals either national or international.
•
Non-refereed research journals may also be considered. However, publicationin them will carry three credits.
•
The validity of the journals and publication is to be done by the HOD or thedepartmental committee set up by the HOD.
•
In order to get the grades, the student should submit a copy of the publishedarticle along with the original source of publication. Written intimation of acceptance for publication by the editors/publishers may also be consideredfor award of credits.
•
In case of online refereed publications, the students may give a printed copy of the published paper and give the URL of the journal and the published paper.
•
In order to avoid technical problems only single author papers are to berecognised.
