The Asian Film Foundation of Dallas (dba AFFD), was founded in 2002 by SMU Film graduate Mye Hoang and localfilm enthusiast Stephen Carlton in response to a lack of Asian and Asian American films screening in Dallas theaters.Since then, AFFD has grown to become the largest and longest running festival of its kind in the southwestern UnitedStates.Incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2003, AFFD is run by a dedicated and diverse group of volunteers broughttogether by their love of film and desire to support the arts.
