: The Fall ’09 election is mail-in only. Mail-in ballotswill be sent to the homes of registered Douglas County voters in early October. Votersmay select one candidate in each of the four districts that are up for election. Thereforethey will be able to vote for a total of four candidates. Election day is November 3.

Our school boardhas four out of seven seatsup or election. It is imperativehat weworkhard o ensurehat the right people ill theseseats. Peoplehat will supportour philosophy nd deas or future contracts. Wewant o ensure hat the newlyelected boardmembersave employeesnd studentsbest interest at heart. There
are
people unning n thiselection that believe that weshouldnot hold anotherbondand budgetelection for years. Othershavebeenknowno say that our employeesre already over paid. These re not the peoplewewant on the board.We annotstress enough ow, now, more han ever, we needpeople to step upandhelp us with this election. We aveasked our DCF uilding rap to try to findsomeonet yourbuilding o serveas a political liaison. If youare receiving his, it is becauseour schooldoesnot havea political liaison. This personwouldserve as a go betweenor the Union, he District, and heir school/site/community.heliaison will be expectedo attend one raining next week nddisseminateinformationand ecruit volunteers. Whileweunderstandhat everyones very busy his must ecome priority. If wework ogether, wecan ulfill our goal ofensuringa successful uture for the employeesndstudentsof the Douglas CountySchoolDistrict.
