Caucus Participation, Media Consumption Added to Feb.Edition
The February 2010 Survey of Colorado’s Political Temperature launchestoday, less than a month after the January edition broke records forparticipation.For the fifth time in seven months, two of the state’s most established andrespected conservative political bloggers invite the state's political observersand activists to share their opinions in an online “focus group” survey of issues, candidates, and trends. The February edition features fewer issuestatements, brings greater attention to the 3

Congressional District, andintroduces questions about respondents' planned participation in the caucusprocess and media preferences for political news.“There’s been a slew of changes in the political landscape, and we want toknow how it’s affected the views of those who have been paying the mostattention,” said Michael Sandoval, managing editor of the People's PressCollective (http://peoplespresscollective.org).
Recipients are invited not only to take the survey, but also to pass it on toanyone they know who might appreciate the opportunity. Postings on email,Facebook and Twitter are encouraged. Still, only one vote per computer orunique IP is allowed to help ensure accuracy. The first survey launched in July, followed by editions in September andNovember. The arrival of 2010 brings a faster, more furious pace to electoraldevelopments, making the Survey of Colorado’s Political Temperature amonthly feature. January's survey drew more than 700 participants.
