The Trinity

Rev 9-Jul-09
The "Doctrine of the Holy Trinity" has changed the concept of the puremonotheism, held by the seed of Israel, to a triune God concept adopted by thegreater majority of the Christian Church roughly three hundred years after JesusChrist was taken up and seated at the right hand of The Father. This doctrine,IMHO, was nothing less than simply creating another "elohiym" often translated as"false or strange god/gods”, of the OT Hebrew text. I'm certain that God did notoverlook this change, and Christianity has been paying the price for theircarelessness towards the only Supreme, Most High God, who's name is pronouncedas Yahuah by some, and Jehovah/Yehovah by others, or even other variations of these. Evidence to this is obvious to even the casual thinkers regarding Christianity, and can be understood by most Christians, if they will only be sincere to themselves.I’m convinced that The Elohiym of Elohiym, The El of Elohiym and El of El, alltranslated to “God of gods”, carelessly translated by the Septuagint Greek text, hasnot taken lightly this apathetic view, which evolved simply from overlooking certainscripture that contradict this view. This is more than evidenced by the divisions andapparent weakness of the Holy Spirit’s presence in today's Church. ThereforeChristians, believe what Jesus taught, believe in his Father's words, combat biblecontradictions and get back to basics.Legend: My words are in bold blue, [my entries],
Christ' words are in red,Words in black are text lifted from reference material
. Caps, boldfaced type and/or underliningare my personal added emphasis. Numbers, preceded with the letters "H" or "G",represent the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance reference numbers. To begin with, let me state that, in my humble opinion, there is a Trinity, comprisingof, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, when referring to the authority of theChurch, or the spiritual connection of these three entities, but this is not the trinityof three persons. Ref:
2 Corinthians 13:14 (KJV) The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost,
be
with you all. Amen.
But to claim that the Holy Spirit is a separate person from the father is to deny thatthe spirit that emanates from the Father is not that Holy Spirit. There is also atrinity in the composition of any person, such as having body, soul and spirit (1Th5:23). However, the concepts expressed by the suggestions held within the "Doctrineof the Holy Trinity", has always posed a problem for many believers in Jesus Christ.I too have been affronted with the same problem, and I conclude that whereas thereis at least a trinity with God, Jesus is not God junior nor God made man. TheTrinity (three persons, one God; or one person, three different manifestations)under the godhead, comprised of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is notexactly scriptural and a common plus correct understanding of God and his Christis lacking in today's Christian teachings. Scripture reads:
1 Cor 8:6 "yet for us there

is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and thereis but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live".[
Jesus speaking about that one God says this:]
Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is nonegood but one, that is, God
.[This agrees with Lk 18:19 and Matt 19:17]And this:John 14:28 (KJV)
”Ye have heard how I said unto you, I goaway, and come
again
unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater thanI”.
[This is a direct contradiction to the equality of thethree persons of the Godhead; especially contrary to theAthanasian Creed.]
The idea that there are three persons in one god, or that there is one god in threepersons is still argued amongst Christians of different denominations. Whereas the"Doctrine of the Trinity" is accepted by the greatest number of Christians, theconfusion that surrounds this idea erodes or undermines the basic principle of thesupremacy of the one and only YHWH. Ref:
Psa 144:15 Happy
is that
people, that is insuch a case:
 yea,
happy
is that
 people, whose God
is
the LORD
/YHWH & Psa 33:12[Can one simply ignore these verses?] The truth is that the person of Jesus has beengiven the authority and position as God's promised Messiah in our "Lord Jesus"with the main purpose or mission of leading our souls to God our Father and to ourpersonal Salvation. The Messiah of the OT scripture was never considered as Godby the Jews but rather as Prophet, priest, and King. But when a lawyer of thePharisees tried tempting him, with a question on the Law, asked: "which is the greatcommandment in the law?"
Mat 22:37-38 Jesus said unto him,

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thyheart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatcommandment.
[If we were to refer to the original Hebrew text for this versewe would discover that the words used were “Yahuah Elohiym” for "theLord thy God". It is well known that the Hebrews of the OT era, for thegreater part (up until the 5
th
century BC), had no problems in thereunderstanding God as one individual personality.]If this be the case, why is it apparently misunderstood by most Christian leaders? Atthe time of Christ's teachings, there was nothing taught of any such Trinity. Here is just another small example of misunderstanding Jesus as being God. When Jesuswas on the cross, he made a simple statement in these words: "My God, my God,why hast thou forsaken me"? Ref Mat 27:46. Even if one doesn't understand exactlywhat this verse really means, the situation paints a rather clear picture that Jesus iscalling out to his God in his agony. Now either this verse is corrupt or one isspiritually blind if they cannot discern this relationship between Jesus and God inthat historic moment. But this is only one of a few dramatic moments in the life of Jesus that is graphically represented in scripture and rather easily understood by a

spirit discerning person. So what or where then is the problem? There should be nodoubt about it that the imagination of man has led to this following verse that I havetaken from The Jerusalem Bible [Doubleday 1966].
Rom 1:22-23 "The more they called themselves philosophers, the more stupid they grewuntil they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for a worthless imitation, for theimage of mortal man
(the Trinity is an example)
, of birds, of quadrupeds and reptiles".
[This exchange of God seen as man and man seen as God is what I am talkingabout.]Thisinvention of the Trinity of God, as spelled out in the "Doctrine of the HolyTrinity", is a mirror image of what happened to man of the Old Testament era.
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart wasdarkened.
I doubt that anyone of average intelligence in our world has trouble understandingthe relationship between a father and his son. The idea of being subordinate to thefather, or obedient to his commands, respective of his judgment etc., are all traitsthat a loving son would demonstrate as did Jesus. And we also have testimony in ourbible that witness to this fact. But the "doctrine of the Trinity" undermines thisreality, in effect eliminating this father and son relationship, declaring them both co-equal in every sense of the word. (Have a look at the Athanasian Creed which states:"And in this Trinity none is afore or after Other, None is greater or less thanAnother, but the whole Three Persons are Co-eternal together, and Co-equal"). Thisis a far cry from Jesus being known as a priest, prophet, servant, King, governor,Son of David, & Son of Man, and above all, "Son of God". Scripture reads:
John10:29 "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all" etc.
Here is what wasunderstood by the immediate followers and apostles of the early Church
:2 John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and fromthe Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
[It appears quiteclear to me regarding the distinction between the Father who is God, andJesus who is the son of God.]Another problem that the interpreters injected into our scriptures, regarding thistrinity, is the use of the word “LORD” or “Lord” when referring to the Father or tothe son. First off, at one point in time Jesus was made both Lord and Christ (Acts2:36). Before that YHWH, the Father was Lord. So when someone refers to JesusChrist, he is the Lord (1Cor 8:6). In the OT, The LORD, a substitute word forYHWH, creates confusion between the Father and the son for in the originalHebrew text there is no definite article “the”. So therefore YHWH was Lord, withno competition then, just as there is only one Lord for the Christians in Jesus Christ, and no competition, now.
