I am a PhD candidate in Social and Cultural Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London supported by a Reid Studentship until 2011. I hold a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Anthropology from the University of California, Riverside and an M.A. in Maritime Archaeology from James Cook University in Queensland, Australia.
My interests focus around visual methods, materiality, memory, heritage, cultural geographies, place-making, sacred landscapes (real or virtual), visual methods and existential philosophy (usually with phenomenological influences).
I am currently conducting ethnographic research about urban exploration (UrbEx); the exploration of normally uncharted areas of urban environments.
