sarita brown:

Kenosis23:
I usually pick then indentations carefully and sometimes if you check out the way the indentations are made I am trying to add meaning ... for instance after then there are two isolated lines which say "I want to believe." I was trying to emphasize that.
Kenosis23:
and there are other things like that, but it is up to the reader to find them!

Kenosis23:
Sorry about the spaces, that's my thing ... but I'm glad you got it!
Brian W Porter:
Yeah, it's part of your design, I know. For me it detracts, but I'll learn to ignore them when necessary. For others who are more visual? Who knows. It may add meaning.

Kenosis23:
Yes, and it became some of what I think is my best.
helenwinslow:
Yes! Yes, yes, yes. Writing is not a spectator sport. You can't figure out what's going to happen BEFOREHAND (and you can't be afraid of that fact), but once you physically put the pen to paper it begins. Is this what you're talking about Brian? It's like diving. It's a physical process and for me it is absolutely linked to hand and pen.
helenwinslow:
So much so that it is very difficult to compose on the computer keyboard, it's artificial, I am not drawing the words. The exception is if I'm just doing a bunch of dialogue and it's coming really fast, then I can do that on the keyboard.
