The census is a count o everyone in theUnited States.

Who:



Every person living in the United States must be counted.This includes people o all ages, races, ethnic groups, citizensand noncitizens.

When:



2010 Census orms will be mailed or delivered inMarch 2010.

Why:



The U.S. Constitution requires a national census once every10 years to count the population and determine the number oseats each state will have in the U.S. House o Representatives.

How:



Households should complete and mail back their ormsupon receipt. Census workers will visit households that do notreturn orms to provide assistance. They have sworn to protectyour inormation which, by law, is condential. Speak with themin condence.
