We are pleased to report that the WHALE Center continues to expand itsnetworks and programs to promote global healing in the world.During the past year WHALE Center activities included the participation inProviding leadership for the Waves of Change programs in Key West, and Tampa Bay, FL, beginning of the Genuine Progress Index, expansion of theschool in Southern Sudan, continued support for the Uganda orphans project,expansion of the new ArtForms program to assist African refugees, providing programs for ocean acidification, global water security, human rights, andcollaboration with Walt Disney and USF for a proposal for a large scienceconference with the International Geosphere and Biosphere Program. The following report highlights the key work of the WHALE Center throughthe Global Healing Initiative, ArtForms, Utah URI, the Southern SudanEducation Project, UPEC, and the Waves of Change Campaign. Global Healing Initiative
The Global Healing Initiative has now grown to 48 partners around the world and its online discussion communityhas now grown to over 1000 persons in 46 states in the U.S. and 28 other nations in the worldSome Highlights of 2009 include:
