 As Saugerties residents, we share a love of the area’s scenic beauty and long-standinghistory. We have a common vision of alivable village with a vital economy andhospitable community. We all want our
hometown to be an aordable place where
 we live and work in safety and comfort. As citizens and taxpayers, we insistthat our Village government liveup to our own high standards:
Fiscally Responsible
 We need to greater public scrutiny to the budget process and steer the
 Village out of spending decits without
drastically reducing services.
Fair
The rules and regulations of the Villageare not “just a guide.” Village governmentshould be by the book & aboveboard.
Friendly
 Village government should be inclusive,and Village services should be responsiveto the needs and concerns of residents.

The time has come for a second politicalparty in the village. The current
single party system sties reform and
accountability. The Democratic Party represents the values of the citizens of Saugerties. Together, we can voice ourconcerns and shape the future of Saugerties.Election for Village Board of TrusteesOn Tuesday, March 16th, three trusteepositions will be up for election.The Democratic candidates want tolisten to the citizens of Saugertiesand aim to reform Village Hall.
