Chapter 1: JARED PARKEREXT. PARTY HOUSE - NIGHT
Loud music can be heard thumping through the walls of thehouse as JARED PARKER and DANNY BATES make their way up thefront yard. Both are in their early twenties and carryingtwelve packs of beer.
JARED PARKER
I can't believe I let you talk meinto coming here.
DANNY BATES
Well, do you wanna get over Amberor not?
JARED PARKER
Not really.
DANNY BATES
Well, you're gonna have to sooneror later.JARED PARKER
It's been six hours!
DANNY BATES
Better sooner than later, right?
JARED PARKER
Whatever.INT. PARTY HOUSE - CONTINUOUS
The two enter the house to find it packed with college kidsincluding a group of FOUR PRETTY GIRLS who's faces light upwhen they spot the two entering the house.

Ladies. Who's ready to get high?
Danny heads for the couch as Todd makes his way to thekitchen.

PARTY HOUSE KITCHEN - CONTINUOUSJared has to squeeze past a HUGE JOCK flirting with a HOTBLONDE before he can get to the fridge.While sneaking past the two he happens to glance out thewindow and spot AMBER CALMAN sitting on the patio table inthe back yard.He puts the beer in the fridge, opens the box and pulls outtwo bottles before heading back out of the kitchen.The huge jock and hot blonde are making out as Jared passesthem again.EXT. PARTY HOUSE BACKYARD - NIGHTAmber gets up off the patio table when she sees Jaredapproaching her.JARED PARKERYou wanna beer?AMBER CALMANWhat are you doing here?JARED PARKERI just wanna talk?AMBER CALMANThere's nothing talk about.She tries to brush by Jared but he blocks her way.JARED PARKERWhat, so I don't even get anexplanation?AMBER CALMANIt won't change anything.JARED PARKERSo than what's the harm inexplaining yourself?AMBER CALMANI met somebody else, okay?JARED PARKERSince this afternoon?
