Folks,
40-mm Automatic Gun M1 (AA) and 40-mm Antiaircraft Gun Carriages M2 and M2A1
, TM9-252, 1944, is an Army technical manual for this widely used anti-aircraft gun of WW II.We offer this manual on the HNSA web site because it covers the single 40-mm gun usedon many small ships. Note that the M1 gun is the same as found in the diverse mountmanuals also on this site.In this online version of the manual we have attempted to keep the flavor of the originallayout while taking advantage of the Web's universal accessibility. Different browsers andfonts will cause the text to move, but the text will remain roughly where it is in the originalmanual. In addition to errors we have attempted to preserve from the original this text wascaptured by optical character recognition. This process creates errors that are compoundedwhile encoding for the Web.Thank you to Jerry Gilmartin for access to the original of the manual scanned for this onlineversion. Please report any typos, or particularly annoying layout issues with theHNSA Feedback Form for correction.Richard PekelneyWebmaster
