Introduction
All praise and thanks are for Allaah, we praise and thank Him, we seek Hisaid, and we seek His forgiveness. We seek Allaah's refuge from the evils of ourselves and from our evil actions. Whomever Allaah guides then none canmisguide him, and whomever Allaah misguides then none can guide him. Itestify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone, havingno partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. Toproceed:Allaah, the Blessed and Most High, created us and placed us in this life for avery great and wise purpose, which He loves and is pleased with, and it is theworship of Him, alone, with no partner for Him. Allaah, the Most High, says:
“I have not created the jinn and the men except thatthey should worship Me.”
[adh-Dhaariyaat 51:56]
Then Allaah distinguished mankind from the rest of creation in that Heblessed them with intellect by which they are able to know their Lord, andthey are able to distinguish between that which will benefit them and thatwhich will harm them. Furthermore, from His Mercy upon His servants, He,the One free and far removed from all imperfections, did not leave them in astate of having to rely upon the intellect alone in order to distinguish goodfrom evil. Rather He sent the Messengers, and sent down the Revealed Booksto them containing whatever Allaah ordered, prohibited or prescribed, thereinlying the success and well-being of mankind in this world and the Hereafter. So after the sending of the Messengers there remained no plea or excuse forone upon misguidance, or for one deviating from the way of Allaah. Rathersuch a one is deserving of punishment. Allaah, the Most High, says:
“Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no pleaagainst Allaah after the Messengers.”
[an-Nisaa' 4:165].
Allaah ended and completed the succession of Messengers with our ProphetMuhammad
, so he is the final and best of the Messengers, and He sentdown the best of the Revealed Books to him. Therefore his Sharee'ah is themost complete and comprehensive revealed way. Then he
did not pass onto join the highest company of Angels until Allaah had completed the religionand perfected His favour, as Allaah, the Most High, says in the Aayah whichwas sent down shortly before his
death, and that was on the Day of 'Arafahwhilst he was in the place of standing during the Farewell Pilgrimage:
