Protecting and expanding access and opportunities or women and girls:

this is the work o Equal Rights Advocates. Whether ensuring a woman is paid the samewages as a man, deending the right o a woman athlete to play a male-dominatedsport, or ghting on behal o millions o retail workers nationwide, Equal Rights Advocates sta responds on a daily basis to women’s most acute legal needs. This year, we celebrated our 37th Anniversary with milestones such as representing our clients at the Supreme Court o the United States, awarding the rst round o grantsto emale athletes rom the University o Caliornia, Davis as part o the Women inSports Equity (WISE) Fund, responding to more than 500 requests or assistance romour Advice and Counseling (A&C) hotline, and being named among the rst cohortso the Pioneers in Justice initiative by the Levi Strauss Foundation. These remarkableevents shape the vision or our work.Equal Rights Advocates works to meet the legal needs o women and girls discriminated againstsimply due to their sex in an eort to achieve equality. Inequality diminishes both women andmen. We believe it is time to recognize that discrimination against women has consequences o amagnitude similar to human rights violations. The meaningul availability o legal counsel—whether in the orm o advice or representation—to assist women experiencing unequal treatment is thedierence in achieving equal justice under law. We hope you will join us in our eort to make equal rights a reality.Beth Parker Arcelia HurtadoArnold & Porter LLP Executive Director Chair, Board o Directors
