Be Inspired…to Find a Cure for Breast Cancer
It was a cool all evening in Boise when our hundred people cametogether to support the frst Expedition Inspiration
Be Inspired Dinner and Auction
in Boise, Idaho and to honor Brenda Williamsor her contributions to breast cancer research and awareness.Tis same group o amily members, riends and associatescontributed $50,000 to Expedition Inspiration on Brenda’s behal to ulfll her dream o eradicating breast cancer. Tirty days lateron November 10, 2009, Brenda lost her lie to breast cancer atthe age o 55. When Brenda Williams arrived in Boise in 1992 to begin herindependent private practice as an OB/GYN, there wasn’t any organization devoted exclusively to breast cancer. Over the years,Brenda cared or many breast cancer survivors, providing bothmedical treatment and emotional support while personally battlingthe disease since her diagnosis at age 40. Brenda became moredetermined to survive and fnd a cure or breast cancer. With her boundless energy and personal commitment,Brenda led the fght to fnd a cure by giving generously o her time, leadership and fnancial support, raising over$250,000 or breast cancer research and awareness.Brenda touched the lives o many; with her quick- witted dry humor, her keen mind and hercompassion or others. She courageously sharedher personal journey in her battle with breastcancer with her patients and the community, giving strength and hope to women and theiramilies who are aced with this terribledisease. In preparing or her own death,Brenda oten said that she had led a “blessedlie” and wanted to make a dierence by giving back.Brenda did make a dierence. We are grateulthat her blessed lie included her dedication to heramily, riends, patients and especially her questor a cure or breast cancer.
