welth

Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium
, which took place March 5 – 9, 2008, was truly an outstanding event. EI’s distinguished
Scientifc Advisor, Dr. Marc Lippman,
assembled an internationally recognized group o investigators who are changing the aceo breast cancer treatment, and will no doubt be leaders inimproving breast cancer outcomes in the years ahead. Tepresentations highlighted important work advancing theability to tailor new breast cancer therapies to the speciceatures o both the host and the tumor, leading to a“personalized” approach to treatment that will maximizebenet and minimize side eects. I have no doubt that suchadvances will revolutionize how we care or women withbreast cancer within the next decade.MAB members also participated in two public orums, aimed at helping patients, amilies and health care providersgain knowledge o the latest breast cancer treatments. Te
Public Forum
in Sun Valley, which took place during theSymposium, brought together MAB members and invitedscientists in a panel discussion that ocused on the latestin treatment, side eects, risk assessment and prevention.Later in the year, MAB members
