Committed to raising awareness and funds to aid in the eradication of breast cancer
As the holidays approach we count our blessings and consider theopportunity to give back to others and share our good fortune.
Weare proud to be involved with Expedition Inspiration as membersof the Board of Directors.
Our mission is to raise awareness andsupport breast cancer research, which will help accelerate thedevelopment of innovative new treatments. We have hiked numerous trails, climbed mountains and even auc-tioned beautifully decorated bras to raised money to support researchgrants.
Expedition Inspiration grants have led to many successes,
such as developing a community based high dose chemotherapy pro-gram that can be administered in small cancer centers. This meansthat many patients can be treated successfully in their homeenvironments.
These advances in research happen because you care.
This holiday season we are asking you to join us in giving a gift oflife and hope by making a donation to The Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
Every contribution, no matterwhat the size, represents your ongoing commitment to a brighterfuture for those among us who are fighting breast cancer.Ourpledge as Board Members is to continue to fund promisingmedicalresearch. We hope you will join us in our battle against this disease.

SAWTOOTH MOUNTAINADVENTUREAugust 20-21
Expedition Inspiration is pleased to offer a two-tieredadventure in the beautiful Sawtooth NationalWilderness of Idaho. This is a great way for hikers of all levels to challenge themselves. Our two teams willbe able to meet partway back down to the trailheadand celebrate their achievements together.
 Thompson Peak
Thompson Peak is one of the most sought after summits in the Sawtooths, only in part because, at 10,776 feet, it is the highest peak in therange. Easy access from Redfish Lake, a spectacular off-trail hike through a rugged alpine valley, and a relatively easy scramble to the summitcombine for a great day. The route starts from the Redfish Trailhead, connects with the Alpine Way trail and then heads cross countrythrough the high valley between Thompson Peak and Williams Peak. From a saddle at the head of the valley the route contours underneaththe west face of Thompson and finishes up a broad couloir in the southwest face with easy scrambling. The route climbs approximately 4,200feet over about 6.5 miles.

 The Skier’s Summit
The Skier’s Summit is a highpoint located on the east shoulder of Williams Peak, which is directly across the valley and to the south of Thompson. It is popular winter ski tour from SMG’s Williams Peak yurt. From the point where the summit team heads off trail to the valleybetween Thompson and Williams, the Skier’s Summit crew will head directly up the broad east shoulder of Williams Peak, weaving their waythrough an open hillside covered in sage and Arrowleaf Balsamroot. The broad ridge becomes more defined and the Skier’s Summit is thefinal highpoint before it climbs more vertically to the summit of Williams Peak. While having a peak experience of their own, the Skier’sSummit group will be able to look directly across at the Summit Team on Thompson Peak.
