In addition, the R&S FSET7, R&S FSET22offer an extra wideband RF signal pathand evaluation capabilities making themfirst choice for exacting emission mea-surements and measurements on pulsedsignals:
◆
IF bandwidths (

6 dB) from 10 Hz to500MHz; low group-delay distortionsreduce overshoots in the case ofpulsed signals, the high selectivity(60/6 dB

4.5) ensures excellentseparation of even very close signals
◆
The pulse stretcher allows detectionand display of short pulses at band-widths up to 500MHz
◆
A memory for 500 000 samples allowsfine discrimination of the spectra ortime domain signals for more detailedmeasurements by zooming of captur-ed data (analyzer mode)
◆
The wide dynamic range of the linearAM detector permits evaluation ofsignals of greatly differing level at thevideo output
◆
An undistorted envelope signal isavailable at the video output even atthe largest bandwidth or when apulse stretcher is used

Analog demodulators for AM, FM and

M and digital demodulators for PSK,FSK, QAM and MSK are available forsignal modulation measurements
RF Preselector R&S FSET-Z2,R&S FSET-Z22
The RFPreselectors R&S FSET-Z2, R&SFSET-Z22 are controlled by the R&S FSETbasic unit. Numerous highpass, lowpassand bandpass filters of extremely lowinsertion loss suppress strong signalswithout influencing the sensitivity.Switchable preamplifiers match thereceiver input to the signal to be mea-sured. With a 30 dB preamplifier andnoise figure of 3 dB up to 2 GHz even veryweak signals can be measured. With 0 dBgain, an intermodulation-free dynamicrange of more than 100dB of the receiverensures that the inherent interference isnegligible. This allows optimum measure-ments to be performed on signals of anystrength. The balanced input makes low-hummeasurements at low frequencies possi-ble.
Test equipment with very low inherent noise is required for measuring very small signals. Here R&S FSET7, R&S FSET22 with the RF Preselec- tor R&S FSET-Z2, R&S FSET-Z22 set the stan- dard. With a typical noise figure of
<
3dB in the frequency range up to 2GHz the limits of the technically feasible are reached. With preselector and switchable preamplifiers, the R&S FSET7, R&S FSET22 are optimally equipped for all kinds of measurements.
