Gracia Violeta Ross Quiroga

Gracia Violeta Ross is 36 year woman from La Paz- Bolivia. She studied Anthropology in Bolivia, and completed Master Training on Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health in the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia in Lima- Peru. Since 2000 when she discovered her HIV positive status, she decided to organize the people living with HIV/ AIDS in Bolivia in order to push Bolivian government to deliver care and medications. Ross serves as National Chair of the Bolivian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (REDBOL). She has a strong commitment for gender and AIDS issues, due to her experience as a rape survivor and a woman living with HIV. Ross represented Bolivia and Latin America in several global forum and bodies. Her new roles include the integration of the TB-HIV agenda in global and regional advocacy. An activist, public speaker and researcher, known in Bolivia and abroad, devoted to bring justice to the AIDS world. Ross is the second daughter of an evangelical family.see more
