Why I chose maths as myarea of focus
Term 1 2009
•An increasing number of children are entering school with poor number recognition and basic maths knowledge. I neededways to ‘kick-start’ my New Entrants’ maths skills.•Computers in my classroom, up till 2009, had been unreliable,not able to be used to their full potential, and therefore avoidedby most children.•Maths is our Professional Development area for 2009.
 Could these three areas be combined to enhanceMaths in my Year 0-2 class?
