Ammonia is produced by the reaction of nitrogen and hydrogen at elevated temperature and pressuresin the presence of a catalyst. In the case of the CNC plant, the feed stock is natural gas, with the otherbasic raw materials being air and water.The process of manufacturing anhydrous ammonia can be divided into eight basic steps
 Desulphurization
The natural gas feed stock is preheated and passed over a catalyst in a Desulphurizer to remove anytraces of sulphur which would poison other catalysts downstream in the process.
