Amir H. Shojaei, PharmD, PhD, received his doctorate of philosophy in pharmaceutics and his doctorate of pharmacy in clinical pharmacy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. He is the assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center and is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, Controlled Release Society, the American Pharmaceutical Association, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and the Canadian Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was awarded the Bristol-Meyers Squibb Award for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Teaching in 1998. His work has been featured in may publications, and he has secured numerous grants for research.
