Metallic oils and lea add depth, brilliance, andtextural interest to dyed and printed abric. Thesehigh-contrast accents are best added at the end othe layering process because each is susceptibleto damage rom the caustic properties o soda ashand discharge agents. Neither is absorbent, whichhinders the use o textile paint or a resist onceoil or leang is applied to the cloth. Although theapplication process or both accents is the same,the visual qualities dier, so it’s useul to knowhow to use both leang and oils.
