A narrative poem that deals with the need to give back in return for for what you receive, it also raises the issue of the need for environmentally friendly farming methods that care for the land and the orchards. The poem also raises the issue of the wider impact of selfishness and greed and its implications for family and community.

A mingling of dreams, of that drifting time between sleep and waking when dreams blend with reality and anything is possible.

This is the tragedy of the 'outsider' who cannot find a way into acceptance. The poem contrasts the situation of the drug addict or fringe dweller and the 'normal' day to day lives of the 'clean' skins. We do not see, or do not want to see the tragedies playing out around us all the time.

A celebration of the continuity of life and the cycle of seasons promising renewal. Every season has its beauty. The tree is beautiful whether the branches make a fretwork of bare limbs against the winter sky or whether their canopy shields us from the summer heat.

This poem surmises that, give the human body's predominant water salt composition, it is probably no surprise that humans are so drawn to the seaside.

A short poem that celebrates the life in tidal pools and rock pools. It also makes a plea for the preservation of the balance of the species and the survival of endangered species, which includes some shark species.

This poem celebrates family, the closeness of two siblings, playing together, innocently, on the sea edge. One tries to talk to the other but the sea breeze is too strong and blows most of her words away. It doesn't matter really what was said, as the sister understands the warmth, the sharing and this is what both retain of their experiences together that day.

Natural objects wash up on the shore and create the beautiful litter natural to the seashore, driftwood, seashells, smooth stones, remnants of sea creatures, such as cuttle shells, sea urchin shells, fish bones. But humans leave their not so pretty litter, bottles, cans, wrappers, empty containers, scraps of clothing, broken footwear. Humans also shed their skin on the beach. They bake, burn, peel and then regardless of the dangers of skin cancer, do it all over again.

Colour explodes everywhere! Art is what you make it! I was struck by the lines of the yellow cranes and the bold splash of bus, smatterings of raindrops on the windscreen, pepperings of tail lights. The traffic lights changed a the right moment and created a balance to the tail lights . SNAP! The image suggested the poem which celebrates the beauty to be found in the everyday, beauty in unexpected places.
