Liquid Comics was honored to partner with the Open Hands Initiative, with the support of the Clinton Global Initiative, to launch a global superhero project to create new characters that transcend nationalistic borders, race religion and culture. These characters are created from the minds of youths around the world and the initiative's goal is to promote "diplomacy" between ordinary people that emphasizes dialogue, understanding and mutual respect. The Silver Scorpion, which features a disabled superhero as the main character, was inspired by American disabled students and their counterparts in Syria who collaborated about improving rights and freedoms for the disabled. Through their creativity, they have given the world a character that transcends these differences.
