Informed Participation of Citizens:
To expand thechoices for people -substantive (food, health etc.) andinstrumental (free speech, transparency etc.) freedomsinclusive
Check against Mismanagement and Corruption:
Tocheck the vested interest groups / individuals frommanipulating the resources scot free
To assess the validity & usability of government’s projects inorder to take timely corrective measures and to watchpeople’s interest
To Build People’s Confidence:
To take awayunnecessary discretion from civil machinery to delayor deny the services
