Another season of Room In The Inn has come to a close. For 21 consecutive weeks we fed, clothed, and providedshelter for fourteen of Nashville’s working homeless.Along with providing for their physical needs we fed themspiritually and allowed them to see Jesus in us.I want to thank everyone who participated in thisimportant ministry. Every task from making beds to providing meals or staying overnight was deeplyappreciated by every man. I’m told by administrators atthe Campus for Human Development (now calledofficially “Room In The Inn”) that McKendree is rated asa “favorite” by the men who attend our facility.A special word of thanks goes to
Andrew Skipper
for sharing his living quarters, hospitality, and spiritualencouragement with the men. Thanks, also, to
Ed Harris
my number one back-up who stayed overnight severaltimes when we needed extra help. With gratitude,Ron PattersonGrowing the

Meeting the need
Once again, McKendree has answered the call in meeting the need of those in our community that aredoing what they can to get back on track.
Worthy of mentioning
As a church, I don’t feel thatit’s ever necessary to patourselves on the back whenwe’ve “done good.” After all,as Christians we are called tohumbly go above and beyondthe call for others. Our Church Administrator and New Wine coordinator
JordanCallaway
has been diligent in personally reaching out to thevisitors that come through our doors. The email to the right isa reply from an out-of-townone-time visitor toMcKendree.Again, we don’t show this in a boastful manner, but rather asa reminder that the little thingscan really make a differenceand that living for Christ inevery moment of our lives willreveal Jesus to people thatneed to see Him. Commentary by: K. Sparkman * If you would like to help infollowing up with visitors, please contact
