Day Care
(cont.)The assessments measure “best practice” and thequality of care in the following areas: space andfurnishings, personal care routines (including healthand safety), language-reasoning and listening-talking,activities, interactions, and program structure. Acenter score of 5 is required for programs to securea Three Star Rating in the Assessment category of the Report Card. The Report Card evaluates seven quality indicators – the Director’s Experience and Training; the Teacher’sTraining and Professional Development, the Center’sUse of the Tennessee Early Learning Standards,Parent/Family Involvement; Group Sizes and Ratios,Actions Taken to Address Teacher Retention/Compensation; and the Assessment. McKendree isrecognized once again as a
Three Star Center
 with three stars earned in
each
category.According to DHS, “
a classroom that receives anoverall score of 5 or higher is providing the kind of carethat gives children what they need to be successful in life
.We are extremely proud of our fine teachers andthe efforts they make as early care professionals tooffer the highest quality of care to our beautifulchildren.Thank you McKendree family for supporting our daycare through your continuous prayers. Echoing
Stephen Handy
from July 5th worship, we striveto “bring our best” as we serve the Lord (Exodus23:19a). Based on this report, know that yourchurch’s day care ministry is bringing its best as weeducate our future leaders and interact with theirfamilies.
