New church directory to be published for 2010
It’s been several years sincewe’ve had “McKendree inpictures!” Steve Kohl ofKohlPhoto to direct newchurch directory
We have long had the needto publish a new church directory.With the excitement of many newpeople becoming a part of thegrowing McKendree community,this need will be met for the newyear.Steve Kohl has generouslydonated his time and talents todirecting the McKendree churchdirectory that will be available atthe turn of the new year. The hardcopy design will allow for openaccess to insert new sheets ofpictures and contact informationas more and more peoplebecome a part of the churchfamily over time. This will keep thedirectory from becomingoutdated once it is released.There will also be plans to addthe directory to the churchwebsite (McKendreeToday.com).More details about this willbecome available closer to therelease date of the tangibledirectory. The online directory willbe password protected for safeaccess.Photos will be taken on:

Sunshine Group news
On November 3, the Sunshine Group will havelunch at Darfon’s Restaurant in Donelson. After lunch we will go to Breeden’s Orchard-Bakery andCountry Store in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee for deliciousapples (Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Jonathonand Granny Smith) plus fried apples pies, jams, jellies, relishes, honey, sorghum, molasses and syrup.We will meet at 10:30a on Tue., Nov. 3 at theRegal Cinema parking lot on Powell Avenue. This is inthe 100 Oaks area, but not exactly in 100 Oaks itself.Please park close to Powell Avenue and not theCinema. Expenses will be $4.00 per person for thebus, plus your meal and purchases.If you have any questions regarding our newparking location, please call Mary Alice Miles at292-3814, also please let her know if you areinterested in going on this trip.

Room In The Inn begins the first Wednesday of November
Thank you church family for taking the time to volunteer your participationin our annual involvement with Campus for Human Development’s Room InThe Inn ministry. The master list of the schedule is posted on the bulletin boardoutside of the Fellowship Hall. There’s still a few gaps in the schedule, so if youfeel called to volunteer for any of the following open positions, please call thechurch office so we can put you on the schedule.
