To this end, your Evangelism Team is currently working onopportunities that will equip us to make disciples within our midst. We are also seeking opportunities to utilize the magnificent talentof all of our church attendees and members who have a heart for sharing God’s love and grace with children, the marginalized, theelderly, and the lost in our church’s backyard. What can you do? Pray! Get excited. Visualize how you personallyshare the Good News each day. Maybe your comfort zone isn’t toboldly approach another person about your faith. But you canpray and you can reflect God’s love and grace in your actionswith others. Truly seek the Lord’s will for your life and your churchthrough focused prayer on being an evangelist for Christ. Truly, Hedid so much more for us.Listen and watch for opportunities to plug in to what God is callingus all to do!- Submitted by Laurie Cooper

“Building bridges through the loveof Jesus Christ!”
Evangelism Team report
The great commission in Matthew is the last spoken message to Jesus’ disciples:
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I amwith you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen. “
(Matthew 28:18-20)This important scripture is also Jesus’ command to believers explaining how weare to spread his message while we are temporarily on this earth. What doesthat mean? The Evangelism team of McKendree recently met and determined that inorder to evangelize the world outside of our church, we must first prepareourselves to share the Good News and seek God’s intent on where to go andwhat to say.
