School of CongregationalDevelopment
at our maincampus from Thursday, July 29 toMonday, August 2. For Sunday,August 1 we will once againcome together to engage in aspecial combined worshipservice at 10:00a.After the 10:00 service onAugust 1, the School ofCongregational Developmentparticipants signed up to be apart of McKendree’s experiencewill be staying for a special lunchand teaching session.What is the School ofCongregational Development?In the 1980s the
General Board ofDiscipleship
and the GeneralBoard of Global Ministriescreated a training experience for new church start pastors. In thelast ten years, the School ofCongregational Developmenthas blossomed to include trainingfor Bishops, DistrictSuperintendents, ConferenceStaff, pastors, and church teamsfrom existing congregations whodesire to learn how to create anddevelop disciple-growingcongregations.It is an honor to be askedto host this critical event in our TNConference. World Vision Experience: AIDSTour
.The Experience, which tells the story offour children who have been drasticallyaffected by AIDS, is a 3,600 square footinteractive walk-through exhibit. Anarrator will guide you through your experience on individual audio playersissued to each guest. It takes about 30minutes to travel through the exhibit withapproximately 3,000-4,000 guestsexpected to visit The Experience at eachsite.The Experience will be available at
