McCarty contracted pneumoniaand was ill only a few days. She wasa member of the M E Church South,a devoted christian woman, a goodwife and loving, kind mother. Sheleaves to mourn her loss, her husband and two children, several brothers and sisters and an aged father.The funeral was conducted Thursdayat the Bethel church by her pastorRev. Palmer Eubank. The bodywas laid to rest in the Bethel graveyard.
