My first novel, The Thieves of Heaven, was published in 2006 and has been purchased by 20th Century Fox. An international bestseller, it has been published in 28 languages and is available in 33 countries. His second novel, The Thieves of Faith, arrived in stores December 2007, garnering praise as a tour de force while it rode bestseller lists around the world. While many authors imagine thrills to write about, I have lived my life experiencing them and they help to flesh out my novels with touches of reality from my twisted existance. I’m triathlete (for chase scenes), expert skier (for scenes requiring descriptions of high speed), scuba diver (for so many reason beyond it’s cool diving wrecks), and an erratic golfer ( to relate to frustration). I’m an extreme sport enthusiast who has jumped out of planes (see the opening chapter of my latest), off bridges (great for heart in mouth scenes), cliffs (for those outdoor heart in mouth scenes), and 200-foot cranes (falling off of buildings) with rubber bands around my ankles, parachutes on my back, and sometimes just enjoying the hundred-foot freefall into water with nothing to slow my descent. I combines the adrenaline rush of my life with my imagination to bring out the best in my characters. I also finds inspiration in the love for my wife, and how far I would go to protect her. It is the key to filling my stories with heart and hope. Like the main character in my Thieves books, Michael St. Pierre, I do much of my work under the cover of darkness where distractions are few and my creative juices flow best. While I write for most of the day I do my best writing from 9 pm until 3 am and I’m usually up by 7:30 to work out and tackle revisions and research. In October of 2009, my novella, EMBASSY, was released as the inaugural Vook and has been a best seller on iTunes for both the iPone and iPad. My novel, The 13th Hour (Atria Books; December 2009)—described as a cross between “The Bourne Identity” and “The Time Traveler’s Wife”—was acquired by New Line Cinema with Michael De Luca as producer and Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (“Wanted” / “3:10 to Yuma”) as screenwriters. It rode the bestseller ist in early 2010 and the paperback version is there as we speak. Did I mention it starts at Chapter 12 and runs backwards? My third Michael St. Pierre novel, The Thieves of Darkness, was released August 24 2010 by Atria Books as is still on bestseller lists around the world which is wild. I barely speak English, yet I’m published in 34 languages.see more
