Robin Rule, author of seven books is the recipient of a California Arts Council Fellowship in Literature. She is the publisher at Rainy Day Women Press (this is not a women's press, this refers to a Bob Dylan song) which is dedicated to printing Good poetry and ecological-political essays. She has read in Paris and Italy, published in Vivre des Poets, editor Jean-Pierre Rosnay,and many other anthologies as well as read in many universities, bookstores and bars in the great northwest. She has run a poetry series for 28 years before retiring to dedicate her time to her own work. She has three Cds and one tape of her work available and copies of three of her books for sale. She dedicated her life to poetry when she was twelve, immediately aware of the poverty issue and willing to accept that in exchange for a relationship with the heart of language.
