Interested in anything that takes my fancy and dream of joining academia in the near future. A few days back I was searching for a particular book on Scribd when I was hit by the idea of uploading on Scribd all those documents I possess so that people all around the world could have access to those documents. Sometimes it’s really hard to get access to the documents you need. Sometimes because they are too expensive, or because they are simply unavailable. I particularly faced the problem when I was a student and my means were rather limited. But since the time I uploaded the docs I’ve got mails from a number of publishers and authors. There was a request not to allow download or distribution of the books. Well, they have a point. If everything is freely available on the web what’s the incentive in writing a book? Soon the day will come when nobody will write one! Therefore, from now on no more download from my collection. I'm sorry for this but there is no other alternative. Anyway, all those books that I have already uploaded will still be there on Scribd and I promise to upload more (though no downloading will be allowed, I won’t distribute them either). You can have access to them and read them all. You can download the research papers and documents for which there exists no copyright. Thanks for your understanding. Take care. Share knowledge.
