 Chapter 15
Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Let’s look at both statements in this Antithetic Parallelism:A soft answer turneth away wrath:
 As Christians, we are instructed to handlematters peaceably.
 
Romans12:18
 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans12:19
 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Romans12:20
 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for inso doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Romans12:21
 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
But grievous words stir up anger.
Nabal’s grievous words stired up anger in David,but the soft answer of Nabal’s wife, Abigail, turned away David’s wrath in I SamuelChapter 25.
 
I Samuel25:10
 And Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, Who is David? and who is theson of Jesse? there be many servants now a days that break away every manfrom his master.
I Samuel25:11
 Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men, whom I know not whence they be?

So David’s young men turned their way, and went again, and came and told

 And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And theygirded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and therewent up after David about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by thestuff.

 But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, saying, Behold, Davidsent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master; and he railed onthem.
I Samuel25:15
 But the men were very good unto us, and we were not hurt, neither missed weany thing, as long as we were conversant with them, when we were in thefields:
I Samuel25:16
 They were a wall unto us both by night and day, all the while we were withthem keeping the sheep.
I Samuel25:17
  Now therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determinedagainst our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial,that a man cannot speak to him.
I Samuel25:18
 Then Abigail made haste, and took two hundred loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched corn, and anhundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them onasses.
Proverbs 15:2
The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and thegood.
God is Omnipresent. He sees our good and our sins.
I Peter3:12
 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their  prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Saul was not fooling anyone when he disguised himself to go and consult with awitch:
I Samuel28:7
 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit,that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold,there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
I Samuel28:8
 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and twomen with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee,divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall nameunto thee.
Job31:1
 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

Hebrews4:12

Proverbs 15:6
In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of thewicked is trouble.
God blesses the habitation of the just.
Proverbs17:13
 Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.
Our present day justice system rewards evil for good and punishes the innocent ontechnicalities.
Proverbs21:3
 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Proverbs 15:7
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doethnot so.
Ephesians4:29
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which isgood to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.Edifying
