First Isaiah 1-39Second Isaiah 40-66
Gods instrument is AssyriaGods instrument is BabylonFocuses on judgmentFocus is deliveranceIncludes historyNo history; always forward lookingMessiah is ruling to conquer sinMessiah is a healing servantIsaiahs own life is interwovenIsaiahs own life is absent
The second half of Isaiah is divided into three parts:1 The first third runs from Chapters 40-48- It focuses on the greatness of God the Father 2 The second third in Chapters 49-57- Focuses on the Son, as the suffering servant to redeem Israel from Her sins.3 The third section is Chapters 58-66 looks at the Spirit- Looking at the remnant of Israel and how the Spirit produces the glory of Israel whenthe Spirit is poured out on IsraelIsaiah 45 is the section focusing on the greatness of God the Father and addresses:I.The True and Righteous God (Isaiah 45:18-19)II.The Assembly of the Nations (Isaiah45:20-21)III.Salvation for All (Isaiah 45:22-24)IV.Justification in the Lord (Isaiah 45:25)

Devotional Reading: Exodus 15:11-18Background Scripture: Isaiah 45Print: Isaiah 45:18-24
I. The True and Righteous God
Isaiah45:18
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth andmade it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I amthe LORD; and there is none else. The creator:
Genesis1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis1:2
And the earth was
without form, and void
; and darkness was upon the faceof the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.Vain (Isaiah 45:18) Without form (Gen 1:2) =
Void =
There is a certain can of worms that I don’t want to open up in thisstudy, and that is how Isaiah 48:18 has been used to push what’s calledthe gap theory.

In Genesis 1:2 the Hebrew word for formless is tohuw, which Isaiah45:18 translates waste place. Isaiah says this is not how the Lordcreated the Earth. When gap theorist place Isaiah 45:18 betweenGenesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, you get the fall of Satan in Ezekiel 28:12-18 causing the earth to be formless and void in Genesis 1:2. The reason for the conflict among Christians among this secondaryissue is because:A.On one hand if Isaiah 48:18 and the fall of Satan in Ezekiel 28 isplaced between Genesis 1:1 & Genesis 1:2, that gives license tomany Christians to shove millions of years between the twoverses an merge their belief with science that contradicts thebible.
B.
On the other hand, Ezekiel 28:13 referring to Satan says, Thouhast been in Eden the garden of God which was not created untilday six.Creation is a mystery of God.
Job 38:4
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hastunderstanding.
Job 38:5
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched theline upon it?
Job 38:6
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stonethereof;
Job 38:7
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:8
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
There is a primary issue that I want to discuss, and that’s the deity of  Jesus Christ:
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word wasGod.
John 1:2
The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made thatwas made.
John 1:4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
EACH PERSON IN THE GODHEAD, RESPONSIBLE FOR DIVINEWORKS OF GOD.

John 1:1In the beginning was the Word

John 1:2
The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing madethat was made.Colossians1:16
For
by him were all things created
, that are in heaven, and that are inearth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or  principalities, or powers:
all things were created by him, and for him
:
Colossians1:17
And
he is before all things

Spirit:

Job 26:13By his spirit
he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crookedserpent.
Job 33:4The spirit of God hath made me
, and the breath of the Almighty hath givenme life.
So we see the Father responsible for creation in scripture, we see Jesus responsiblefor scripture, and we see the Holy Spirit responsible for creation in scripture, butthere is only one God. In this divine and infinite Being there are three subsistences, the Father, the Word (or Son), and Holy Spirit,

of one substance, power andeternity, each having the whole divine essence, yet the essence undivided
There is only one God:
Deuteronomy6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is
one LORD:Deuteronomy6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and withall thy soul, and with all thy might. These three are one:
I John5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and theHoly Ghost: and
these three are one.Isaiah45:19
I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob,Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
The teachings of Jesus is not secret hidden knowledge, it is to bepreached to the whole world.
John18:20
Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in thesynagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secrethave I said nothing.
John
Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them:
