Objectives

Upon completion of this lesson, the students should know that:1.We learn what heaven will be like from the book of Revelation.2.We can begin getting used to heaven before we get there by giving God His praises now.

Introduction

Today’s lesson is about thankful worship.

II Corinthians 9:15

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

It is also an answer to the question asked by those who hid themselves in the dens and inthe rocks of the mountains in Revelation 6:15-17:

Revelation 6:17

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Revelation 7:9-17

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of allnations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and beforethe Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man couldnumber, :Here is the irony that I’ve observed in false teaching; In the first partof chapter seven, we are given a precise number of people fromtwelve tribes of Israel. Exactly 12,000 from 12 tribes to equalexactly 144,000. Even though we are given an exact number, thereare false teachers that say that 144,000 is not an exact number, but just symbolic and not to be taken literally. Then there are false teachers who look at the measurements of thenew earth in Revelation 21 and come to the conclusion that the newearth is only the size of Texas, then after doing a calculation of howmany people they can fit in Texas have came up with the numberthat no man can number.

Three simple rules in math are any thing times zero is zero, anything times one is itself, and any thing times or plus a number thatno man can number equals a number that no man can number.I personally believe that there will be enough room in heaven forevery human that has ever lived. Jesus died for the sins of the wholeworld. Unfortunately it is hell that has enlarged herself.

Isaiah5:14

Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth withoutmeasure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he thatrejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Hell was created for the devil and his angels. But false teachers,agents of Satan, and those who refuse to exercise faith, have turnedhell into an over stretched orpheus in the center of the earth.False teachers are consistent also when it comes to dates. WhenDaniel gave the exact time of the arrival of the Messiah in Daniel9:25, the woman at the well, the disciples following Jesus, and thechildren who waved the palms knew the time of the coming of theMessiah, but the so called religious leaders did not take theprophecy seriously, and did not recognize their Messiah. Theleadership in Jerusalem was punished for not knowing the time of the visitation of the Messiah.

Luke19:43

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trenchabout thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

Luke19:44

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; andthey shall not leave in thee one stone upon another;

because thou knewestnot the time of thy visitation.

But now that Jesus has told us no one knows the date of the returnof Jesus except for God, Christian date setters have been coming upwith false prophecies for years.

Matthew24:36

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

The bottom line is that the only people before the throne of God arethe people who actually BELIEVE the word of God. Without faith it isimpossible to please God.

Proverbs 30:5

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Proverbs 30:6

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be founda liar.

A saving faith is one where you trust God. Those who tamper withthe scriptures in order to make it fit their own understanding will notbe among those who have made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own

understanding.

of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues,:Notice that when it comes to gentiles in the bible who are part of God’s kingdom, we are never given a number. When it comes toIsrael we are always given precise numbers like in Numbers chapterone, Ezra chapter two, Nehemiah chapter seven, and Revelationchapters seven and fourteen just to name a few. The only time anumber is given in association with the church is in Acts 2:41 andthat is because that is how many Jews were added that came forPentecost. Other than that, no number is ever given associationwith gentiles who are part of God’s kingdom.God told Abraham:

Genesis22:17

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thyseed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Genesis22:18

And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thouhast obeyed my voice.

Jacobs prayer:

Genesis32:12

And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as thesand of the sea,

which cannot be numbered for multitude.Psalm22:27

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: andall the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

stood before the throne, and before the Lamb,:clothed with white robes,:No one will be in hell for their sins. They will only be in hell forrejecting the provision that God has made for their sins.

Revelation6:9

And when he had opened

the fifth seal

, I saw

under the altar thesouls of them that were slain for the word of God,and for thetestimony which they held:Revelation6:10

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy andtrue, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell onthe earth?

Revelation6:11

And

white robes were given unto every one of them;

and it was saidunto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as theywere, should be fulfilled.

Revelation19:7

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriageof the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation19:8

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen,

cleanand white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
