PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (2-3)GAME #6SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2008SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (2-3)ATATCANDLESTICK PARK 4:15 PM
The Eagles look to win their 3rd-straight game against the 49ersafter having outscored them 80-27 in their last two contests. Bothteams aim to even their record at 3-3 after suffering home losses intheir last game. The Eagles lost to the Redskins, 23-17, while the49ers fell to the Patriots, 30-21. Eagles head coach Andy Reid is 2wins shy of 100 for his career and QB Donovan McNabb looks to sur-pass Ron Jaworski as the franchise’s all-time leader in pass attemptsand passing yards.
THIS WEEK’S MATCHUP
With a 98-64 overall record, Andy Reid needs 2 wins to reach 100for his career. In doing so, Reid would become the...37th head coach and 7th active head coach in NFL history with 100overall wins (Mike Holmgren, Mike Shanahan, Bill Belichick, TonyDungy, Jeff Fisher, Tom Coughlin)22nd coach to win 100 games with one team17th coach to win 100 games in his first stint as a head coach
CENTURY CLUB
Andy Reid
and
Donovan McNabb
joined Bill Walsh and Joe Montanathis season as the only first-time head coaches and rookie QBs tojoin a team at the same time and last into their 10th season as a tan-dem. This week, they have a chance to move past Walsh andMontana to become the winningest such pair.
MOVING UP THE CHARTS
With 12 pass atts., and 264 passing yds., McNabb can pass RonJaworski to become the franchise leader in both categories. McNabbalready owns the team record for completions (2,301) and TDs (177).Should he pass Jaworski in both categories, McNabb would joinColts QB Peyton Manning as the only 2 QBs to lead their currentteam in all 4 major passing categories.
