Bio

Ten Penny Players is a 501c3 not for profit arts in education program. WE DO NOT RECEIVE ANY PAYMENT FOR MATERIALS ON THE WEB. NOR, HAVE WE EVER CHARGED STUDENTS FOR COPIES OF WORK WE HAVE PUBLISHED. It began life in 1967 as a children's theater in Chelsea (NY, NY). In 1979, its co-directors - Barbara and Richard - used their theater and publishing background to stage a series of poetry readings and bookfairs along the New York waterfront thus creating the Waterways Project of Ten Penny Players, Inc. In 1986 Ten Penny Players became the arts partner for New York City's newly designed district of Alternative High School
