I used to go on business visits at a large chemical manufacturing plant, one of the largest globally; I noticed that this company had a very unusual tradition Every time a retiree from the company passed away, the company would place the obituary page at the front gate for everyone to see. I know; strange right? I suppose they did this to honor the dead who had contributed to the success of the company but there were times when something eerie would happen. Anybody misses the defunct TV show called "Seinfeld"? I sure do. I remember when Jerry was asked if he would enjoy being at the finish line of the New York City Marathon, that was my favorite line. His reply was forever engraved in my mind. He said, "What's to see? You're gonna have a guy from Kenya, a woman from Norway, and twenty thousand losers". Moments after the laughing spells, it finally dawned on me, the comment was like a huge philosophical bomb that had exploded in my mind. I would later discover that what Jerry said about the NYC Marathon was a giant metaphor concerning life and humanity in general.
