 Two card games using the same deck of cards to practice food vocabulary words
Go Fish Card Game
for two or three players. There are 12 different cards and three each of each card (36). The object of the game is tocollect sets of three cards. The game ends when a player lays down all his or her cards or the pileof cards runs out.
How to Play:
Deal five cards to each person. Place the remaining cards face down on the table. The person onthe dealer’s left asks the person on his/her left if they have a card to match one already held. The player asks in Spanish, “¿Usted tiene _____?” naming the type of food. Then that person hasto give all the matching cards to the one who asked. If they don’t have any of the requestedcards, the player has to draw one card from the pile. If the card is the one he asked for, he getsto keep it and draw another card. If it is not the card he requested, he keeps it and playcontinues to the left.When it is your turn, you can lay down sets of three cards. The winner is the person who gets rid of all his/her cards first or the one who has the leastnumber of cards when the pile runs out.
