With its two main elds identi-ed as research and development, the foun-dation commenced its operation in 2002 andwas awarded ofcial charity status in 2007.The foundation strives to articulate Islamin a modern context and address the uniquesituation and challenges faced by Muslimsin the West. An integral focus as a means tothis end is the study, analysis & presentationof classical Islamic scholarship and its con-temporary application.The Development wing of MRDF is satis-ed primarily by iProgress. MRDF placesheavy emphasis on internal development of its members through various activities suchas corporate retreats and the iPDP. Maintain-ing a balance between internal developmentof its members and external development for the Muslim community as a whole is of greatsignicance.
