”
Ever since I came back home, last October, I have faced a lot of challenges in helping people. My phone does notstop ringing. Every day has someone looking for me...people wanting to study
the bible…
people with problems in
their marriages…
people with spiritual/
emotional problems…
people like a teenager who showed up last Sundaymorning at the church door as we were worshiping the Lord and asked me to pray for him because he could notsleep. He told me he was having horrible nightmares. He was told by Satan in his nightmares he would die. Satanwill kill him and things like that. In addition, he told he was having strong pains in his body after these nightmares. Then, I prayed for this young person and as I was praying, his whole body shivered all prayer long
…. Afterwards,
Ischeduled a bible study with him in his house and I am doing it. Pray for him, his name is Edvair. Another interesting
situation is about a prostitution house’s owner who is studying the bible. This woman is
at about 50 years old anddecided to study the bible because wanted to know the Scriptures. The lord has changed her life, she quit fromdrinking alcohol and I was told she do not have sexual relationship with other men any
more, just with her “husband”
(they are unmarried), but there are a lot of things to be changed in her life by the Lord. Her greatest challenge isgoing to be quit her brothel because she has no another way to make money like she has earned there through toutthe years
. Another challenge is her “husband”, he does not
want to study the bible because he understands he willhave to make hard decisions. Please, put her and her husband in your prayers, her name is Iracema. Also, there aretwo couples I have visited every week to help them. One of them is a former young minister
–
they have aproblematic marriage and a one son struggling with homosexualism, the other one is a minister whose wife hascommitted adultery. Selma, my wife, has prayed with her and encouraged her to repent and fight for her marriage. So far, both couples are still married and a little change has taken place in these families. I could keep on speakingabout other people I have visited, counseled, prayed together and helped them knowing Jesus Christ, Our Lord andSavior. I think it is enough to understand what I kind of work the Lord has done though our ministry here.As for my secular job, wow, in Brazil, the school year ends up on December. I have worked from Monday throughSaturday. Lots of work to do! I have been busy and exhausted!
