especiallyinanunplannedenvironment
suchasthosefoundduring
emer
gencycommunicationdeployments.Sometimes
802.11bworkswell,butitwouldbegood
toprovidealternatives,suchas802.11aor
900-MHzWiFiforcreationofbackbones.
ThisisoneareathatopenHSMMhopesto
addressinthecomingmonths.
Theseconddeficiencyisthelackoftrue
networkingprotocols.Inordertocreatea
scalablenetwork(wiredorwireless),it
wouldbebeneficialtoprovideconfigura
tionoptionssuchas
OSPF
(OpenShortestPathFirst).
