If life is more than a series
Of unconnected events
Then who is the sewer
And what is the thread

Sometimes we search
But do not find
Sometimes we look
But do not see
Sometimes we ask
But there is no answer
To this great perplexity

Some say it's fate
Some call it karma
But I think we have a greater say
Then even we believe

If we stand back far enough
The tapestry can be more clearly seen
With each needle pull
The more complete is the scene

Yes each one of us
Chooses the colours we use
Each one of us
Their course
They must choose

What thread will you use
Will it be vivid and bright
Will it be the thread
That clearly displays life

Or will you take a greater risk
And put the thread
In the hand of another
Letting the one who can see all
True life discover
