Read John 9:1-41

Do you want to know how to paralyze a Sunday School class? All you need to do is to tellthem that today you’re going to talk about evangelism. I you really want to scare them, tellthem you are going to make them go out and actually do it.Why do we get so scared? For many it is a matter o eeling ill-equipped or the job. We’rearaid we won’t know the right things to say or have the correct answers or the questions thatmight be asked. We just don’t know it all. Well, at least that’s what we think.I love the story o the man blind rom birth. For me, it gives incredible comort and assurancethat witnessing has nothing to do with me and everything to do with who God is and myresponse to Him. As you read the story you will notice that the man really only knows onething - the reality o what God has done in his lie. Questions and doubt y rom all o thosearound. Who did this? How could it be? Was it legal? Was it o God or rom elsewhere? The answer is really a simple one: “I once was blind, but now I can see!” The answer to thequestions is not gained in how hard one studies or in having all the correct terminology and/or insights. It is a matter o being in touch with the reality o the work o God in your own lie.Notice verse 3:
“... this has happened so that the work of God might be displayed in hislife.”
God wants to use us as His canvas to display His mighty works as we make ourselvesavailable to Him. It’s not about us! It’s about what the Creator o the Universe has done in ourlie. I love the innocence o the man when the Pharisees are talking to him and he asks them i they would like to believe also. The reality o Christ in our lives is undeniable.As you pray today ask God to reveal in your lie the transorming power o the Spirit.For some o us, change is very dramatic; blindness to sight, anger to peace. For some thechange is more subtle; more joy, more confdence, more peace. One thing or sure, God isall about change. 
PRAYER
Father, thank You that You are not willing to leave us the way we are. Give us hearts thatare ready to be an available canvas or the work o Your Spirit. I You need, even rub a littlemud on, that the surpassing glory o Your hand might be seen in us. And then, give us theconfdence to let your work shine. Amen
